Start in the square: Pariser Platz

Pariser Platz, 10117 Berlin

Pariser Platz is the square in front of the Brandenburg Gate, at the western end of Unter den Linden. From 1961 to 1989 the Wall ran right behind the gate and the square stood empty. Today embassies and the Hotel Adlon line it again. Come early, before the tour groups arrive.
